Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 at London, Ontario Sunfest 2008
May 24, 2010 - 11:01 am
I consider myself a very fortunate person to have seen this phenomenal performance by this Afrobeat big band from Nigeria at this year’s London, Ontario Sunfest. Seun Kuti has been leading this band, since his father’s death when he was fifteen years old. The musical legacy of Fela Kuti is formidable and held in capable hands. Look up their story, get their music, support the future of Africa. http://www.myspace.com/seunkuti and http://www.sunfest.on.ca

Seeing the more …
Seeing the more Fela in seun this proof the recarnation philosophy of Yoruba people. Because in our tradition we believed in that, that why we have name like Babatunde, Yetunde, Malomo and many more. Fela is very spiritual man and he need someone that we look like so that is legacy will remain.

Thank you for …
Thank you for posting this,Seun lives in the shadow if his brother, Femi, but he’s a trailblazer in his own right. IMO i see more of Fela in Seun than in Femi.
