Godric Dies Eric Cries True Blood 2×09 “I Will Rise Up”
The best part of the whole series which made me cry. I was starting to watch show only for godric and now he’s gone.
I’d like to thank for your nice comments, it fells good to find different people who shares same feelings with me.
I always liked Godric’s prophet like speeches, and learnt from them. He was the loving person of the vampire world and the oldest vampire in whole America continent. I thank to Allan Hyde for his great performance and the writers for this character too. Thank you all.

About Godric:
When godric say “I don’t think like a vampire anymore” he mean it. And that’s the reason why he needs to die. Look at Eric, he is 1000 years old and still behaving as a Vampire. Godric turned out to be something more than a Vampire, something getting near to God’s mercy, love and beauty. Thats why even he scared of himself because of his past and said “Will God forgive me?”
“God doesn’t punish, god forgives” look what he did to fellowship of the sun people. And humans couldn’t understand him cuz people needed much more time to really understand his actions, they attacked. He somehow started to play god. He had to die, and he knew it himself…

I think Alan Ball is a genius. I just read this scene in Living Dead in Dallas and Alan’s translation of the entire storyline to this point from the novel is amazing…

Just like you think the swedish accsent in stockholm are Lame .. I have 2 say that i really can´t stop laughing sometimes when i hear some other swedish accsent like Värmlänska .. And who cear about pronouciation .. Goderic / Allan is danish , how can hi have good accsent ?

Godric is suppose to be 2000 year, you don’t think the language i Sweeden was different back then?? yes it was and the language at that point in the history is called NORRØNT (in norwegian) and THATS the language Godric and Eric is talking. The right one. Godric is doing his character and language terrific

I didn’t think the swedish part failed… Well I’ve never heard swedish before, so maybe that’s why. But as someone said it below, Godric isn’t swedish in the first place…
And IMO, the swedish part wasn’t laughable at all, nor was it lame. It was heart-breaking and sorrowful. And this is the kind of scene I missed while I watched the next episodes, partially due to Mr. Bill Compton and his ridiculous lines.
And I agree, Twilight is so lame next to TB ! =)

Oh my god ….. I want to cry but , the swedish part is just FAIL! It dosen’t sound good. I just wanted to laugh because what eric speaks, is so lame .. And they should have improved Godric’s swedish..
You know the part when he says: Father, brother, son
It sounds like this in swedish: Fater bråteher , såon
when it is supposed to be like this: Fader broder son
But otherwise this serie ROCKS!! I love it !!! I fyou see this, Twilight becomes LAME!!!

And for those that care, Godric isn’t Swedish, he’s Danish or Norwegian, that’s why his Swedish pronounciations are kinda “fussy”.
