This is a deal! I headed up north to find this Shoreline real estate deal. It was completely remodeled and sold in 2006 (for $409,990!), and is now a bank owned foreclosure for just $292,000!

It has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2100+ sqft, and is directly across the street from a great park. Its close to 3 different Metro bus lines (the 77, 330, and 348), and has quick access to 2 different park and ride locations (145th & 5th Ave NE) (175th & 8th Ave NE), as well as easy access to I-5.

Theres a large kitchen with nice appliances (large fridge, gas range, dishwasher), and a ton of counter and cabinet space. Its a very open and bright floor plan. We went and looked at some real estate this weekend to see how it’s bottomed. All it did was worry me more. I’m sure my city is different than the ones the news must be reporting. The real estate crisis is not over, at least I don’t think it is. People have been hammered with the price drop in the last couple of years. Reality is just starting to set in for some. I think the high end home owners are in the most denial. The reality of real estate, who is able to afford huge mortgages when most should are just thankful they have a job. I’ve noticed the cost of goods (food, shipping costs, wholesale prices) are much higher and these prices are go to be passed down after some time. I think we will see or are seeing deflation with home prices still and hints of inflation on most other goods and services. H1N1 should help screw up our service based economy as soon as flu season hits. How’s your home town doing? That’s all I have.

Any Info on Rental Rights, as for as renting a house. I’m renting a house from a Realty Company, that someone else owns but their giving to a very hard time about little things, i don’t have the money to get a Lawyer, and I’m not ready to move out right now,it’s been almost a year living here, but i don’t know how much more i can take. all i need to know is what’s my rights, and where to go to read up on this?

IN addition to my birthday woes, my man has let me down in one crucial other way: in 2 years, he has no sense of time!
I told him to be at my house at 4:30 so we could go look at houses. I had to be somewhere a half hour away at 5.. so we had to leave promptly at 4:30. He didn’t show up until 4:45. We were 15 minutes late for my appt with my new realtor who I met for the first time. The realtor had to sit inside with a pair of drunk smoking homeowners while he waited for us. I left without him and told him to meet me in the parking lot of a neighborhood shopping center. We were going to our home town immediately following, so his truck would have to stay there over the weekend…. so to appease him after the realestate trip, i dorve back to the truck. we fought the whole way home. he doesn’t think being late is a problem, but to me its about hte rudest thing a person can do… telling another person that their time is not worth anything to you. I’m angry because it seems to me that
because he’s always late for thigns and we always fight about this, he knows its important to me. I am a civil engineer who works 40-60 hours aweek. He is a student with class 2 days a week and no current job. How could he not make ti to my house 15 minutes away on time? I made it there, and I have other obligations!

What do you guys think? I’m really offended by his lack of consideration for my thoughts on lateness.

Things DON’T improve when you get married…. any problems seem bigger once married because you deal with them every single day.

If it bothers you now, it will bother you more later so you might want to give it some thought… maybe postpone for a little while??? Like until he’s grown up enough to actually work or at least go to school full-time.

Sounds like you are already taking the mother role to me. Do you really want to be his mom? I made that same mistake with a guy I was engaged to – luckily I didn’t marry him.

I am now married to a wonderful man. He treats me like a woman and I get to be his WIFE, not his mom.
