What is the lifestyle of someone who earns $110,000 a year?

December 26, 2010 - 7:06 am 4 Comments

I am 15, and I plan on becoming a dentist (and no, not just because of the salary). The minimum yearly income for a dentist is about $110,000 a year. I would love to be able to buy high end clothes and live in a nice home, like this one: http://www.realestate.com/MD/Bethesda/20128768-5819-Sonoma-Road-Bethesda-MD-20817-home-for-sale.aspx

What kind of car would someone with a salary like that be able to buy (max. amount)? Just a question of curiosity.

You’ll make a lot more than $110k/year as a dentist, I can tell you that. By the time you’ve finished dental school, a home, clothes and automobiles (all material things) won’t hold as much importance to you as they do now. You’ll likely be starting a family at this time, so all of your energy will be (or should be) focused on providing the most for them. I know it’s hard to envision right now at the ripe old age of 15, but it’s true (ask your parents). I’m at a mid-life point in life right now, and nothing matters to me more than ensuring my wife and kids will be well-positioned financially should I leave this earth prematurely. They’re all I have to keep my ‘legacy’ alive, so to speak, so whatever I can do to ease their journey into and through adulthood, I’m going to do. My wife’s finances are already pretty much taken care of. If my children can start a career debt-free, this will make a HUGE impact on their well-being.

Don’t worry about what all you can buy after becoming a dentist. You’ll make some serious jack and will have enough to do with as you please. My advice, save as much as you can before children arrive. Put more than enough down on your first mortgage. Live in smaller house initially and pay it off (it is, after all, just a house). After house is paid off, you might consider real estate as a good long-term investment (mine is rental property).

Pennsylvania/Pittsburgh area

Now all you have to tell us the city and state of Northwood Realty Services, as there are probably dozens of companies by that name across the U.S. as seen by the following summary page:

Should Foreclosed Realestate be consolidated into regional blocks for easier purchase by NWO Foreign Investors?

December 16, 2010 - 6:36 am 5 Comments

Now if a Saudi Sheik buys a block of bad debts it is spread out all over America. Shouldn’t Banks consolidate neighborhoods into Blocks of debt, so Investors can buy up whole sectors of America. Like Michigan could be broken up into 2 or 3 purchases by the Aga Khan

Now you’re thinking like a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Brilliant idea. Maybe you should pitch it to the soon to be elected Mayor Emanuel for Chicago?

Can a person with a felony obtain a realestate license in Minnesota?

December 14, 2010 - 5:26 am 3 Comments

My friend wants to get her realestate license but she has a felony. Is there a way she can obtain it or does her Felony disqualify her somehow??

Yes, contact the licensing bureau.

But consider that she might have a VERY tough time getting a job, even if she can get the license. She also might find it nearly impossible to be an independent realtor without company experience.

She should do some serious research as to whether there are any successful realtors with similar felony records. If so, maybe go for it. If not, it might not be a wise career choice.

How much money does a realestate agent make in Sydney.?

December 6, 2010 - 4:18 am 1 Comment

Ok so I’m only 14 but I would like to follow a career as a realestate agent. I have a family friend how is a realestate agent but haven’t seen her for a while so I have not been able to ask her for a while.
So I would like to know how much they make?
I’m pretty sure that they would get 5% of every house they sell, is that true.
And what does a realestate agent really do…

Real estate agents enter the profession from all walks of life. Some become a real estate agent for the money, while others are attracted to the glamor, excitement and challenges of selling property. For many, a real estate career offers the opportunity to be your own boss, and that reason is a motivating factor for those who want to get out from under the thumb of corporate America.

How Much Does an Average Real Estate Agent Earn?

Most first-year real estate agents earn very little, primarily because they are struggling to learn the business while they build a client base. As the years go by, agents can rely on referrals from satisfied clients to continue building their business.

According to Salary.com, most real estate agents earn on average between $34,000 and $45,000 annually.

How much agents make depends on the number of transactions they complete, the commission paid to the brokerage and their split with the sponsoring broker.

What are the best/worst places to live in Brooklyn?

November 21, 2010 - 12:16 pm 1 Comment

Also, taking cost into account. There’s this website: http://nymag.com/realestate/articles/neighborhoods/brooklynheights.htm

that tells how much a 2 bedroom apartment is in each different location…but I have no clue which of these locations are good or bad. If you go to the site, look to the left under Brooklyn to see all of the locations.

What would be the best deal…the cheapest possible apartment, yet in a good environment?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

what do you think of new york times real estate ads?

November 12, 2010 - 11:27 am 2 Comments

http://realestate.nytimes.com/rentals/brooklyn-ny-usa/2000400000173-200040-200-loc/1-bed/500-1000-price

I’m looking for a cheap apartm. in new york with my boyfriend, do you think that prices are for month?

You need to be weary, there are lots of scams going on.

Any apartment that rents for only 1000 a month will be snatched up in seconds, not no 167 days. Those ads are not legitimate.
